#1 New York Times Bestselling Author

Dashing Through the Airport

Don’t be misled.  Just because I don’t always respond to your posts, doesn’t mean I don’t read them.  Thank you for the wonderful things you’ve said about RAINWATER.  Thanks especially to those who have left reviews or posts on other blogs about it.  And thanks to those of you who’ve said you were buying copies to give as Christmas presents!  The whole book market — not just yours truly – needs the support of loyal readers!

In the midst of the holiday season, Ryan and Victoria celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary, and Rachel celebrated a birthday!  We’re a busy bunch.  The greeting card industry LOVES us at this time of year.  Not mention the US Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx!
Tomorrow the Texas contingent leaves for New York, where the family is convening for our Christmas celebration.  We’ll take the grandsons to Rockerfeller Center to see the giant tree, and I’m sure there will be several excursions to Central Park.  (To run some energy off them!)  The grownups have theater tickets and dinner reservations for a night out.  Over five days, it should be a fun time.
I hope each of you has a wonderful, safe, and happy celebration of the season with your families and friends.

Sandra, I am intrigued by your writing. Ever since I picked up one of your books, I have had a hard time reading anyone else. In fact there hasn’t been anyone else. There are so many that I have not read yet. Your book Smokescreen is my latest gift that I have not had the chance to read due to me attending college and working full-time. I remember the first series was the Texas series and have been a fan since. I look forward to every published book you write. Thank you for the experiences.

I have read many of the Sandra Brown novels and have enjoyed all of them. I just finished reading “Smash Cut” and have a question regarding one of the characters. Doug Wheelers wife is named Sharon in all of the chapters except one. In chapter 18 her name is Susan. Any particular reason for this? Just curious.
