Miles to Go
Are you on Twitter? Simon & Schuster is continuing the 30 days of Rainwater facts. If you’re on Twitter and would like to follow them, they are twitter.com/simonbooks .

You can see more production stills from the making of the Rainwater book trailer on Facebook. We hope to get them added to the site by early next week.
David Woo’s TOP DOGS AND THEIR PETS is now on sale and includes photos of Chase, Lucky … and yours truly. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Cesar & Ilusion Millan Foundation which offers financial support and rehabilitation expertise to pet shelters and rescue organizations throughout the United States. TOP DOGS is truly the gift that keeps on giving. If you have a few minutes to spare, check out the website. David has even included some fun behind the scenes videos of the photo shoots! You can see the photos of Chase, Lucky and me on my Facebook page.
I’m currently in the mountains and celebrating the end. Yes, that THE END…the completion of the first draft of next year’s book. Don’t let words like “completion” and “the end” fool you. There will be a second and a third draft, THEN it goes to my editor and agent, and then there is a fourth draft. After that it goes to the copy editor whose job it is to check for typos and other nitty issues. And then….you guessed it. I go over it again.
I tend to not take much time off between books–many years of discipline just won’t allow it. So, by the time we’re approving covers and titles for next year’s book, and getting ready to gear up for the paperback release of SMASH CUT, I’ll already be working on…you guessed it…another book.
And now, for the last of our Get Caught Reading winners. I apologize for the delay and since you had to wait so long, I picked a few extras. Congrats to everyone! Please email me (sbrown at sandrabrown DOT com ) your book choice from my backlist and of course, your mailing address.

Tracy C. caught reading instead of doing the laundry--I don't blame her!

JW's cats reading--I hear they're the best plotters in the world so be careful!

Dianne! You are a really big fan of some lucky author!

Emily reading by flashlight. Do you have as much trouble getting up in the morning as I do?
