If you listen to my books on audio, you might have noticed that

Victor Slezak is a repeat reader.

When he read HELLO,DARKNESS in 2003, I was blown away. I got a similar response from fans who wrote me in praise of Mr. Slezak’s performance. I thought he should be made aware of these newly cultivated fans. Through Simon & Schuster Audio, I sent him copies of these glowing reviews.

Being no dummy, I’ve requested Mr. Slezak as the reader for each book since.

He graciously replied to my shy email, and over the years, we’ve become email pen pals. We haven’t had the good fortune to meet, despite our trying several times to reconcile schedules. We’re still trying!

Most recently he read SMASH CUT, and he’s slated to record RAINWATER as soon as his schedule permits. He keeps busy as a stage, television and film actor. Recently he received love letter-type reviews for his performance in Eugene O’Neill’s “A Moon for the Misbegotten.” I’m very honored to have him reading my work. He brings to life each of the characters with his voice, and he’s one of few actors who can do a Southern accent without making it sound totally ignorant. Take it from one who speaks with the real deal, that’s not easy!
