Smash Cut Release Day and More News!

The paperback edition of SMASH CUT is now on sale! I must say that this book has one of the creepiest creeps I’ve ever created. The villain frightens me because he doesn’t look like a villain — and in my opinion that’s the most dangerous kind. He’s handsome, charming, rich, and enticing. Much like Satan must’ve looked to Eve.

And everyone who read this book in hardcover comments on the airplane scene. But, for those of you who haven’t yet had the pleasure, you’ll read no spoilers here! Enjoy!

The website redesign is coming along swimmingly and we plan to unveil the new sandrabrown.net by August 10th. For those of you keeping track, that’s also the date TOUGH CUSTOMER hit’s bookstore shelves. And for those of you just joining us, TOUGH CUSTOMER is the follow-up to SMASH CUT.

Not only will I be launching a completely redesigned website in the near future, but … an iPhone app! That’s right…you’ll be able to take me with you wherever you go.

I recently watched an original Lifetime Network movie starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. We native Texans must support one another!

But I had a special reason to watch because Lifetime starts filming SMOKE SCREEN on August 9th! That’s right. . .I’m finally getting another book on film. It’s been a long time since FRENCH SILK was a made-for-TV movie, although it’s routinely rerun on various cable networks.

Back to SMOKE SCREEN. . .the script is still being tweaked, but the screen writer did a good job of compressing a 500 plus page book into a 90 minute script. Especially when you consider all the flashbacks in this story. Jaime Pressly has been cast as Britt and Currie Graham as Raley. I’ve been invited to visit the set, perhaps even appear in a cameo role. When they hear my accent, they may change their minds about that! However, the story takes place in Charleston, so we’ll see. I’ve been told it will air in November. I’ll keep you posted!

I can’t wait to read Smash Cut! I look forward to each of Sandra Brown’s books. I love the combinations of mystery, romance, thriller, suspense, and each book written in a way that just grabs me and keeps me on the edge of my seat through the entire book. I can’t wait to meeting this villian…hope he’s not TOO scary.

    Hello Sandra!
Ah! I just read SMASH CUT! LOVED IT!!!!!
You are soooo good girl! I kept thinking while reading the book each time I had to put it down – “boy this is a good one”. And I love to read – especially each and every one of yours. Yes the villian is the creepiest of creeps for sure – that was so well done! I just couldn’t wait for him to get his if you know what I mean…if only I was paid to read! :) I will have to see the movies too! And I am delighted to know there is a follow up to some greats characters right around the corner :)
