I recently put out a call in the newsletter for fan questions. Many of the most frequently asked questions are answered … on the FAQ, but not every question ends up there. For that reason, I thought it might make an interesting blog post so here we go!

Sue asks: IS RYAN BROWN aka BILLY MILLER ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS? HE AND SANDRA BEAR A REMARKABLE RESEMBLANCE; THEY ARE BOTH BEAUTIFUL.

ANSWER: Ryan played Billy Lewis in Guiding Light and Billy Abbott on The Young and The Restless. Currently he’s not acting but is doing some occasional modeling and of course, writing his second book for Pocket.

Lori says: I was just reading your newsletter and saw your reference to Same Kind of Different as Me. Coincidentally, I’m also listening to my local Christian radio Station (JOY FM; 91.7 in Florida) and they are talking about this exact same book. I thought you might be interested in knowing two things:
1) A follow-up to this book, titled What Difference Do It Make?, was just released yesterday (9/29).
2) Same Kind of Different as Me is going to be a movie! Samuel L. Jackson just agreed to take on the role of Denver.

COMMENT: Lorie, I’ll certainly be watching for the movie, as well as the follow-up book. I grew up in Fort Worth and am very familiar with the Union Gospel Mission, so this story really resonates with me.

Now, on to the fun stuff! Imagine my surprise when I received an email from my assistant notifying me that ENVY had, nine years after it’s original release, broken the top 50 on the USA Today list! Then, this morning I received an email from Michael letting me know that Smoke Screen was one of the top 20 sellers of the third quarter of 2009! Thrilled would be an understatement.
